Gemini Watermark Remover

Get rid of the recognizable sparkle watermark that Gemini and Nano Banana put on created pictures without uploading anything.

All the components of the application are local, within your own browser. There is no server and no third party and no need to worry about your image being transmitted to an unknown server—whether it's on your workstation or client files, product mockups or anything else that you would rather not send to an unknown server.

This tool does the following:

The images created by Gemini, Nano Banana and Google AI Studio are watermarked with a small, visible watermark. It can be helpful for identification purposes, but isn't always desirable in the final product — particularly if the watermark falls over a face, product, or clean corner required for a layout.

This tool is able to locate and eliminate that visible mark, and restore the image without altering anything else.

Here are some things to note up front: most of the tools in this area are not:

  • This will remove the visible watermark (small logo/mark visible in the image). It doesn't remove invisible signals such as SynthID that are added to the pixel level to allow AI content to be detected after the fact. Note that if the platform you are posting on has other requirements for AI-content disclosure, then that requirement remains even if the visible mark is removed.
  • Only when a single image can be shown at a time. Not a batch tool, it's designed to be quick and accurate for one file.
  • Only JPEG, PNG and WebP. No video, no GIFs, and no raw formats.
  • Allowed to upload a maximum file size of 10MB. The larger the files are, the less they will process.
  • There is no upload ever. Everything is done in the browser, and running the code on your client. Close the tab and your picture is gone, you're left with nothing in the directory of a server somewhere.

This is how to get rid of a Gemini watermark.

  • Select your image. Drag into upload file box or click to browse — JPEG, PNG or WebP, maximum 10MB.
  • Let it process. This is done on your browser, without making a round trip to a server, as all is local. No wait or "your file is uploading" spinner.
  • Download the result. The cleaned image is returned right away at the same resolution that it was given.

That's all that happens. No account, no watermark on the watermark remover and no email required to remove a download button.

The importance of local processing.

The majority of watermark removers available in the market require you to upload the image to their server, do whatever they have programmed on the back-end and then serve it back to you. This is okay, but it indicates:

  • If you have an image, it's on someone else's infrastructure, even for a moment.
  • You'RE relying on the storage and deletion policies of a third party
  • Any processing you do is limited by your upload speed, and their server queue.

With this client side, done in the browser, you avoid all that. You do not need to wait for an upload to occur and there is no file copy anywhere except from your device. That's important if you're working on something sensitive, like unreleased product renders, client concepts, personal photos etc., through Gemini for editing.

This is best suited to what kind of images.

  • Some Generations of AI Studio and Gemini app have a visible Sparkle/Logo watermark in the corner.
  • When the watermark is placed over a complex or busy background, Nano Banana will edit the placement of the watermark.
  • When taking product shots or mockups you'll need a clean corner for a template or layout.
  • Social and marketing assets where this mark doesn't fit the rest of the design

Generally the results are best on high resolution source images. There may be a slight residue of the watermark remaining in the image where it used to be, as there is less original pixel data left under it in very small or highly compressed JPGs.

If you are going to use this responsibly, please read this Note.

If you've created a watermark for your own work, it is usually easy to remove the visible watermark. The problems become acute when AI generates content that is presented as being real or the work of others or as proof of an event that actually didn't occur. It's a user decision, and a decision that should be explicitly stated, not "for no particular reason" that the watermark is on. Removing the visible mark does not remove requirements for disclosure where a platform, publication or client requires such disclosure for an AI-generated image.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this going to remove SynthID or other invisible watermarks?

No. This application will only remove the visible mark. Unlike the tools that can be found on the browser side, invisible watermarking is not added to the image itself, but is embedded in the image data and safeguarded against normal image editing.

Am I uploaded somewhere if I take my picture?

No. Processing is completely client side - done inside your browser. The image will never be sent to a server.

What kinds of files are accepted?

JPEG, PNG and WebP. Other formats aren't currently supported.

What is the largest file size that can be used?

10MB per image.

Is it possible to do multiple images at once?

Not now — this tool operates on one image at a time – to ensure that the results are accurate, not a general fix for a batch of images.

Is this feasible for video?

No, this particular tool is only designed for still images.

Will this decrease the quality of my photograph?

The rest of the image is left untouched. Only watermarked area is processed – resolution and detail remain the same outside of the watermarked area.

Is it free?

Yes.
